Membership
Information Architecture Institute Australia (IAIA) encourages all interested people to get in touch to discuss their work as IAs and to become members of this organisation. We want to keep the arrangements as informal as possible, but to encourage collaboration and networking.
Currently the IAIA encourages membership from people who fit one or more of these categories.
- use the discipline of information architecture in their role (as webmasters, web designers, user experience designers, web developers, information designers, etc.)
- are practising full-time as professional information architects
- are engaged in the field or a related field of study.
See more about Conditions of Membership.
The Committee of Management is delighted that many vibrant networks of information architects already exist. However, we want IAIA to be a more connected organisation operating as an online community. We see the IAIA blog as a start to do this, to deepen the intellectual discussion around issues of information architecture. We will regularly post a blog on a IA topic and invite you to comment.
The Institute is also developing a number of projects to further research, application and professional recognition for information architects in Australia - which will benefit members.
Membership is a reasonable $A50.00/year.
